When to add related content
Pangea CMS offers different ways to share related links on article pages. Related content appears below the article, so it is best suited for links that you want readers to see after finishing the article. For an overview of all available options, see our separate guide:
Add related content
On the edit page for a content item in Pangea CMS, you can add related content in two ways:
For text content types
Click the Add related content button, which is below the main content on the Editor.
For all content types
Click Related content in the left menu and select Add content.
For detailed information, see:
Search for items
On the Search & attach dialog, find each related item.
To search for content:
- Enter keywords and / or adjust the search filters.
- Click Search.
The search results in the central window show only the items that match your search criteria.
For an overview of the search filters, see Run a content search.
Attach items
To attach an item, click the item title or the Attach button.
After attaching all items, click Add to confirm the selection.
The related items now appear on the edit page in Pangea CMS.
Manage items
The following options are available for each item in related content:
- (A): Move: Use the selector in the corner of an item box to change its position. For example, if you select 1, the item is positioned first.
- (B): Remove: To remove an item from related content, click the Remove button.
To include more items, click Edit content / Edit related content.
Rules for two-way related content
Two-way related content exists between some types of content. For example, if you add a video to the related content for an article, Pangea CMS automatically includes the article in the related content for the video. The same applies if you add an article to the related content for a video.
Two-way related content does not work between all content types.
Two-way connections by content type
When you add related content for a text content page, the two-way connection applies for the following content types:
- Multimedia: Audio clip, Document, Photo gallery, Slider gallery, Video
- Interactive: Poll, Static infographic
When you add related content for a multimedia or interactive content page, the two-way connection applies for the following content types:
