Manage library widgets

update

What's inside this article:

Basic information

A library widget might be used in multiple places on the public site. This functionality works basically as follows:

  • After you create a library widget, the widget is saved in the Widget library. The widget can then be used in an unlimited number of places on the public site.
  • The same content is promoted on every widget instance. Whenever the content is edited, the changes are applied for all widget instances.
  • The layout, title, and footer can be managed separately for each widget instance. For example, two instances of the same library widget might have different layouts. For more details, go to Edit a library widget.

The following widget types can be created as library widgets:

Content | FactCheck | HTML | Live stream | Manual stream | Multimedia | Podcast | Poll | Subscription | Trends

Create a library widget

To create a new library widget:

  1. Go to Build > Widget library in the primary navigation.
  2. Select + Add new.
  3. Select the type of widget you want to create.

The widget edit screen opens in the same tab. For detailed information about the widget settings, see the relevant article below (according to the type of widget):

Content | FactCheck | HTML | Live stream | Manual stream | Multimedia | Podcast | Poll | Subscription | Trends

After you save the widget, it is saved in the Widget library, but it is not displayed anywhere on the public site. To learn how to use a library widget on the public site, go to the following section:
