- Editor: Manage widgets.
- Settings: Add metadata, create a Custom URL, and more.
- Preview: Preview the page / segment on different devices.
Manage widgets
Manage widgets via the Editor view.
We've removed the old drag-and-drop functionality for creating and managing widgets. For more information, review the sections below:
Create a widget
To create a new widget in an empty area, click the area. You can then choose the type of widget you want to add.
Replace a widget
To replace an existing widget, hit Replace (or go to ... > Replace).
Move a widget
To move a widget, hit the Move icon. You can then select the area where you want to display the widget. The supported areas where you can move the widget are highlighted in green.
Manage layout blocks
Manage layout blocks via the Layout view.
We've removed the old drag-and-drop functionality for creating and managing layout blocks. For more information, review the sections below:
Add a layout block
To add a new block, scroll to the position where you want to add the block, and select + Add block. You can then choose the type of block you want to add.
Delete a layout block
To delete a block, hit the trash icon.
Move a layout block
Use the drop-down menu to change the position of a block. For example, if you select 2, the block moves to the second position.
Add SEO settings
For Sections and Infopages, you can now access all settings that impact SEO (Search Engine Optimization) by clicking SEO in the left panel.
Add a Custom URL
You can now add a Custom URL from the builder for any Section or Infopage. Just go to SEO > Custom URL. You no longer need to go to the separate Custom URL list in Pangea CMS.
Preview the page / segment
Under Preview in the left panel, you can now check how the published page / segment will look on devices with different screen sizes. This option is useful to preview unpublished changes while the Draft status is selected.
Set the status
Conveniently set the status for the page / segment using the drop-down menu that is always available at the top of the builder.
Confirm a change to the status by hitting Save or Publish in the bottom-right corner.
Add connected Categories
Each Region, Landing, and YMAL is connected to at least one Category. This works basically as follows:
- Region: Can be connected to one or multiple Categories. Displayed on content pages from the connected Categories.
- Landing: Can be connected to one Category. Displayed under the "Home" tab in the Multimedia archive for the connected Category.
- YMAL: Can be connected to one or multiple Categories. Displayed on content pages from the connected Categories.
When you edit a Region, Landing, or YMAL, you can now add connected Categories directly via the builder.
Go to General > Categories / Category.
When you edit a Landing, it is required to add one connected Category. You will not be able to publish the Landing if a connected Category is not selected.
Check when changes are saved
The main action button now updates automatically to reflect the status of the page / segment.
If all changes are saved, the button is not active and shows the label:
- Saved (while the item is in draft)
- Published (while the item is published)
If the item includes unsaved changes, the button is active and shows the label:
- Save (while the item is in draft)
- Publish (while the item is published)
