Schedule a repeat for a Broadcast program

What's inside this article:

Basic information

You can schedule a repeat for any Broadcast program. Via the broadcast schedule on the public site, the repeat is labeled as a repeat.

This article explains how to schedule a repeat of a Broadcast program.

NOTE: You can only schedule a repeat of a Broadcast program (audio). It is not currently possible to schedule a repeat of a Video show.

Open the Broadcast program settings

To open the settings for a Broadcast program:

  1. Go to Stream > Scheduler & Template week in the primary navigation.
  2. Ensure the correct audio tube is selected under Tubes.
  3. Choose your preferred view:
    • Scheduler: Create a one-off repeat for an individual episode.
    • Template week: Create a regular repeat that will be scheduled automatically for every episode.
  4. Click the block for the Broadcast program and select Edit.

The settings for the Broadcast program open.

Record the original Broadcast program

IMPORTANT: Request recording at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time for the episode. Otherwise, recording might not work.

The following conditions apply:

  • If the original Broadcast program is recorded, the recording is played on the public site during the time period when the repeat is scheduled.
  • If the original Broadcast program is not recorded, the current content from the audio tube is streamed on the public site during the time period when the repeat is scheduled.

To record a Broadcast program, tick Record in the Broadcast program settings.

Schedule a repeat

Scroll to the Repeat section and hit + Add repeat.

The Title and Description are prefilled to match the original Broadcast program. Update these settings if you want to add different metadata for the repeat.

Manually define the following settings:

  • Day (appears via Template week): Select the day of the week when the repeat will be scheduled.
  • Start date (appears via Scheduler): Select the date when the repeat will be scheduled.
  • Start time: Select the time when the repeat will be scheduled.

The end time for the repeat is set automatically according to the length of the original Broadcast program (the repeat is always the same length as the original program).

When you are satisfied, hit Save repeat to close the dialog. The repeat will not be scheduled unless you also hit Save in the bottom-right corner of the Broadcast program settings.

Check which programs have a repeat

Via Scheduler, blocks that represent repeats are always marked green.

If needed, you can also distinguish original Broadcast programs that have one or more repeats. Under Filter, select Has repeat(s). When this option is selected, programs that have one or more repeats are marked light purple.
