Managing repeats via Scheduler & Template week


This article explains how to schedule a repeat for an audio broadcast via Scheduler & Template week.

Scheduling a repeat lets you stream the same broadcast more than once. By default, the repeat has the same settings as the original broadcast and is labeled as a Repeat on the public website. As long as the original broadcast is recorded, the recorded file is automatically played during the repeat.

You can schedule a repeat via either Scheduler or Template week. Refer to the relevant section below:

  • Scheduler: Schedule a one-off repeat for an individual broadcast.
  • Template week: Schedule a regular repeat that applies for every episode of an audio show.


Schedule a repeat via Scheduler

To schedule a repeat via Scheduler:

  1. Click Scheduler > Scheduler & Template Week in the top menu.
  2. Select Scheduler in the left panel.
  3. Ensure the correct audio tube is selected in the Tubes drop-down menu.
  4. Click the box for an individual broadcast and select Edit.
  5. Scroll to the Repeat box and click + Add repeat.
  6. The Repeat details dialog appears. Complete the settings below:
    • Title: The title for the original broadcast is pre-filled by default. Optionally enter a different title.
    • Description: The description for the original broadcast is pre-filled by default. Optionally enter a different description.
    • Date: Specify the date for the repeat. The date for the original broadcast is pre-filled by default.
    • Start time: Enter the time when you want the repeat to start.
  7. Click Save repeat.
  8. Click Save on the Edit broadcast program screen to schedule the repeat. The repeat is not scheduled unless you perform this step.

The repeat now appears on the Scheduler screen. All repeats are marked in green. The repeat also appears on the public website, where it is marked as a Repeat.

NOTE: If the original broadcast was recorded, the recorded file plays automatically during the repeat. If the original broadcast was not recorded, the input for the repeat is taken from the streaming URL for the audio tube.

Schedule a repeat via Template week

To schedule a repeat via Template week:

  1. Click Scheduler > Scheduler & Template Week in the top menu.
  2. Select Template week in the left panel.
  3. Ensure the correct audio tube is selected in the Tubes drop-down menu.
  4. Click the box for an audio show and select Edit.
  5. Scroll to the Repeat box and click + Add repeat.
  6. The Repeat details dialog appears. Complete the settings below:
    • Title: The title for the audio show is pre-filled by default. Optionally enter a different title.
    • Description: The description for the audio show is pre-filled by default. Optionally enter a different description.
    • Day: Specify the day when the repeat will stream each week. The day for the audio show is pre-filled by default.
    • Start time: Enter the time when you want the repeat to start.
  7. Click Save repeat.
  8. Click Save on the Edit broadcast program screen to schedule the repeat. The repeat is not scheduled unless you perform this step.

The repeat now appears on the Template week screen. However, the repeat does not immediately appear on the public website. For information about when changes in Template week are applied on the public website, refer to the following article:

NOTE: If the original episode was recorded, the recorded file plays automatically during the repeat. If the original episode was not recorded, the input for the repeat is taken from the streaming URL for the audio tube.
