What's new?

Title graphics for Sections

Web editors can now configure custom Title graphics for Section pages from inside Pangea CMS. A Title graphic is a full-width graphic that appears directly beneath the site header. It includes the main page title displayed over a background image. If a page has a Title graphic, this replaces the standard text-only title. (The title is not shown twice.)

Every Title graphic includes the following elements:

  • (A): Background image: A specially prepared image.
  • (B): Title: The main page title, as set in Pangea CMS.

A Title graphic might also include the following additional elements:

  • (C): Date and time stamp: The date and time of the last update. This information is automatically displayed if enabled across your site.
  • (D): Subtitle: A subtitle with further details about the topic of the page. This can be added in Pangea CMS.

To create a Title graphic, go to General > Title Graphic on the Section edit page.

For detailed instructions and guidance, visit the following article:

NOTE: You can add a Title graphic to any standalone Section page, except the homepage. Title graphics are not currently supported on Category pages, or on Sections that are merged with Categories.

Banner replacement

Some Section pages currently use a banner as the main title element. We recommend replacing these banners with Title graphics.

Title graphics offer the following advantages over banners:

  • Title graphics align with the site header, creating a more cohesive look that fits the overall design of the website.
  • Title graphics replace the standard page title. Title banners appear in addition to the standard title, creating duplication.

In the Pangea 8.44 release (November 2025), Section titles will move from the header to the page body on desktop (matching the current Category page layout).

If a page still has a title banner, this change will make the title duplication more apparent. To prepare for this change, we recommend that services take one of the following actions for each title banner:

  • Replace the title banner with a Title graphic.
  • Remove the title banner and display just the standard title.

Icon selector for Dynamic infographics

For each individual Dynamic infographics page, you can now choose which icon will be displayed in the website teaser (including on widgets). This added flexibility allows you to better represent the different content types that might be shared on these pages. Select the icon that best matches your content.

The following options are available:

  • (A): No icon (selected by default): Ideal for text-based content, including longreads.
  • (B): Chart: Ideal for data visualization, maps, and charts.
  • (C): Question mark: Ideal for quizzes.

On the Dynamic infographics edit page, select an icon via Teaser Graphic Icon (under Teaser Info).

Reddit to 'Follow us' navigation

Websites can now add Follow us on Reddit to the list of buttons in the 'Follow us' navigation.

To request updates to your 'Follow us' navigation, contact Pangea Customer Care. In your request, please provide:

  • The exact URL for the link.
  • Your desired order for the buttons.
  • Localized text for the button title. ('Follow us on Reddit' is the English text.)

Manual live stream history

The Manual live stream history page is now available in Pangea CMS. On this page, you can check your service's complete history of Manual live streams. Many details are shown for each stream, including:

  • The stream name and source
  • The destination(s) (such as Facebook and YouTube)
  • The start and end times for each destination
  • Who started and ended the stream to each destination

To open the page, go to Stream > Manual live stream history.

Audio narration available on request

Following the initial pilot rollout, AI-powered Audio narration is now available for all services on request (depending on language support). Audio narration lets website visitors listen to your content instead of reading it. For details, visit the following article:

Please note the following limitations:

  • The list of supported languages for Audio narration is set by our third-party service providers. While this list is extensive, it does not currently include all languages on the Pangea platform.
  • Among supported languages, the quality of the AI-generated audio can differ significantly. Widely spoken languages typically offer better quality audio with more natural-sounding speech.

If your service is interested in exploring Audio narration, please get in touch. We can tell you if your language is supported and help you to review the available voice options. To start this process, contact Pangea Customer Care.
