For the 6th time in a row, RFE/RL was named an “Official Honoree” in the Radio & Podcasts category and, for the first time this year, we were recognized as an "Official Honoree" in the News (Handheld Devices) category at the 18th Annual Webby Awards.
The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS), is the leading international award that honors excellence on the Internet. In recognition of the exceptional quality of submissions received this year, the Academy has acknowledged outstanding entries as Official Honorees, alongside their Nominees.
With 12,000 entries received from all 50 US states and over 60 countries, the Official Honoree distinction is awarded to the top 20 percent of all work entered that exhibits remarkable achievement.
