Basic information
Pangea CMS is partnered with the third-party Targetings platform, which facilitates the automatic distribution of content to social media. This functionality is supported for the following text-based content pages:
It is possible to send content to any of the following social media platforms:
- Odnoklassniki
- Telegram
- Viber
- VKontakte
Customize the social media preview
Before setting up automatic distribution, optionally update the Social media settings for the content page. Via the Social media settings, you can add a special title, introduction, and image that are visible only in the social media preview.
To get started, hit Social media in the left panel. For detailed information, see the following article:
Set up automatic distribution
To set up automatic distribution:
- Hit Distribution in the left panel.
- Optionally enter a Post message.
- Tick the box next to each account where you want to send the item. The All channels option appears for services with more than 3 available accounts.
- To publish the page and immediately send it to Targetings, ensure the status is set to Published. The page will not be sent to Targetings if the status is Draft or Edited.
- Click Save or Save & close to publish the page and send it to Targetings.
The content page is now sent to Targetings. Depending on the automation settings for your service, the item might be visible immediately in the selected social media account(s).
Add a post message
You can add a plain-text post message to introduce the content page on every social media platform where it is shared.
The text for the post message is generated as follows (if 1 is not filled, the text is taken from 2, then 3, and so on):
- The Post message field in the Distribution settings.
- The Introduction field in the Social media settings.
- The Introduction field in the Website teaser settings.
- The Introduction field in the General settings.
- The first characters from the Content. The number of characters varies according to the word limit for the Post message that is configured for your service.
Manage automation settings
Automation settings control when shared items are publicly visible via social media. For example, you can set a minimum time interval between new posts, or block new posts during certain time windows. To make a request regarding the automation settings for your service, contact Pangea Customer Care.
