Backgrounders are pieces of content that can be used to give additional information to your content, usualy in form of a smaller and simpler article, giving an insight about article topic.
There are two types of Backgrounders in Pangea:
Full-Page
Embedded
Full-Page Backgrounder
Full-page backgrounder was designed to be used as link to full-page article.
Navigating to Full-Page Backgrounder Creation Page
To open a full-page backgrounder creation page, log into the Pangea, click the New tab on main navigation bar, click Backgrounder and lastly click the Full-Page sub-menu item:
You will be taken to the following page:
Creating Full-Page Packgrounder
Full-page backgrounder creation is similar to creation of article-type content. For more information, check the Article Content Creation guide.
Linking to Full-Page backgrounder
Full-page backgrounder can be linked to any text in article-type content, through button implemented to CKEditor Insert Link to Backgrounder. You will open modal window, where you can search and attach backgrounders:
If you choose to attach full-page backgrounder to your article, you can set the width and height of it's pop-up window. When you find desired Backgrounder, click the Attach button.
Embedded Backgrounder
Embedded backgrounder can be placed on article page in form of small frame.

To open a embedded backgrounder creation page, log into the Pangea, click the New tab on main navigation bar, click Backgrounder and lastly click the Embedded sub-menu item:

New content supported on responsive
As part of the project of switch from desktop to responsive, we have been working on enabling the legacy content for responsive.
After Release 7.07 we support:
- interview
- discussion
- full page backgrounder
Further content types (soundslide, pop-up, documents, and embedded backgrounder) will be added in the next releases.
If your page is Responsive only, this content will be no longer available - please localize the new key - "Responsive.NotSupported" in order to to improve the user experience.
